About a week ago I met up with Jamie from Glam Latte, and as mentioned here we exchanged our items over mimosas. Our goal was to come up with a way to wear it, and style it on our own. My item to style was a Forever 21 short sleeve cardi.
I decided to come up with three ways to wear this cardi, and here are my styles:
Velvet Torch lace dress, F21 belt, DIY headband, DIY heels
F21 top, belt, & leggings, gojane.com heels, Tiffany ring, Tattooed Steel cuff
Frenchi long sleeve, F21 leggings, Nordstrom scarf, Jessica Simpson boots, Windsor ring, Target headband
Lately all my photos have been taken indoors, due to the either the rain or cold, or because by the time I get home from work it is completely dark. Hopefully once the sky clears up, and on my free time on the weekends I can take my photos outdoors again.
Style Tip: Don’t be afraid to layer and accessorize. It’s what makes the outfit more special and YOU!
We’ve all been there. Minutes before heading out standing in front of the closet not knowing what to wear. I must admit I’m so guilty of it, I do it all the time. It’s so annoying – it drives me crazy!
Style tip: Solve your nothing to wear crisis by throwing on a dress shirt. Let the accessories do the rest… No biggie.
It’s very forgiving and flattering as long as you know how to wear it right.
Pani dress shirt, f21 belt, Charlotte Russe heels, Balenciaga handbag, Versace sunglasses, & Velvet Messiah leather wristband.

I can’t remember the last time I went shopping. What I do know is that I haven’t purchased anything this year so far. Isn’t that unbelievable? It blows my mind just thinking about it.
I have to admit though, my mom and sis have bought me some stuff (love you guys), so I do have a few new things in my closet – thanks to my wonderful mom and sis!
Since I’m on a budget (aka broke), I tend to reuse a lot of my clothes.
f21 jacket & heels, Express bracelets, Metropark ring, and dress by Jump.
f21 jean jacket and H&M pumps.

Style tip: Accessorize your outfits differently each time you wear them. It’s actually not that bad. It’s like having multiple outfits all in one, and who doesn’t love that, are you kidding me?!
I don’t know any girl who doesn’t love accessories. They’re like toys for grown-ups!
Style Tip: It’s definitely worth spending more money on your accessories, such as handbags and jewelry because you’ll tend to use them more than most of your clothes. You’ll carry your bag every day, whereas you probably won’t wear the same outfit nearly as often.
I’m all about re-inventing my wardrobe. I just love creating new things out of what I already have in my closet -it’s fun, it’s cheap, and it’s one-of-a-kind!
Style Tip: Experiment with bleach. Don’t be afraid if it doesn’t come out perfect. That’s the whole point!
Yoga Army top, f21 jeans & sandals, and bracelet from Nordstrom.
I think it’s important to have a good sense of humor because life is so unpredictable to be so sewious. Be silly -it’s good for ya!
Rojas dress. Kenneth Cole bracelet, sandals from gojane.com, and headband made by me.
I knew this flower would come in handy some day. Easy breezy!
Well, I’ve had this zipper double buckle belt (yes I know it’s pretty fancy) that I’ve never worn before because it was so big. I didn’t want to get rid of it so I thought to myself, Hmmm…. what can I do with this belt? And that’s when the brilliant idea came to me.
Ok, so I know what you’re all thinking… and yes that is a trash bag. I’m not suggesting to go out and wear one – what I AM saying is don’t limit yourself. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to stay current with fashion. I’m sure you have some clothes laying around that you don’t wear anymore. Well cut it up- make something out of it. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. You might be surprise with what you come up with.
How do you find a good pair of jeans without paying too much? I asked myself that same question. Jeans can get very pricey, especially “destroyed” denim. I remember my friend’s mom had asked her, “Why on earth would you pay for ripped jeans? If you want holes in them just make them yourself.” So that’s exactly what I did.
To get the same look, you don’t need much. Just a cheese grater and some scissors. To get that distressed look, try using sandpaper.
Want some cute sandals without spending any money? I do! I do!…
Here’s what you need: a pair of flip-flops and some fabric or headwrap (I’m sure you have this lying around your room somewhere). Then you wrap the fabric/headwrap over the sandal and twist around the ankle… and wallah!!
